Photocollage

Just like paintings, collages were part of my journey as a visual artist, from something as simple as a clipping from a magazine I managed to take several new shapes and images that were different from what originally came.

"Image I" was exhibited in the traveling exhibition "Diferentemente Igual" ("Differently Equal") in Curitiba, Florianópolis, Porto Alegre and Joinville. They are collage fragments that can be assembled in different ways and formats. With great repercussion, it received some criticism such as:
"With cutouts and collages, Astrid Sollner fuses and replaces images that invite us to reflect on the impact of the avalanche of images to which modern man is subjected, whether on the streets or through media and graffiti in big cities."  Revista Cartaz Cultura e Arte . 2004 Ano IV - nº14

I continued with this theme of cutting and pasting for a few years, always focusing on this point of what we receive from information living in society and recycling its impact and  transform it.
Some collages has thematics and some just use the empty colered spaces  between seductive thematics and manipulatet in mutipleid couler composigem.
